A fabulously limited experimential journey awaits at the far edge of Ireland, where the land exhales into the Atlantic, Breac.House calls a small circle of the curious to gather. This is The Far Edge of Ireland Experience, a four-day celebration of all that makes Donegal extraordinary: design, food, craft, architecture and the untamed beauty of the landscape.
From 15 to 19 April 2026, this intimate retreat on the Wild Atlantic Way brings together Michelin-starred dining, slow travel and modern Irish culture. Two remarkable private dinners set the tone: a tasting feast by JP McMahon, the creative mind behind Galway’s Michelin-starred Aniar, and a refined finale by Andy and Roz Allen of Hara, whose food captures the quiet confidence of contemporary Irish cuisine. Between courses, enjoy local gin tastings, wine pairings, conversation and Donegal hospitality around the oak table.
Days unfold through a rhythm of adventure and calm. Walk the dramatic contours of Horn Head and the vast stillness of Glenveagh National Park. Visit Liam McCormick’s modernist churches, sculptural icons of Irish architecture that rise from the wild coast. Meet the artisans who define this corner of Ireland: the sea-salt makers of Mulroy Bay, the distillers of Drioglann Chroithlí, and the craftspeople shaping Donegal tweed and Ulster linen. For those drawn to texture and tailoring, private fittings for bespoke Donegal jackets are part of the experience.
When the day fades, return to Breac.House, a design hotel in North-West Ireland that redefines modern retreat living. Seaweed baths, wood-fired saunas and panoramic Atlantic views invite guests to pause. Each element, from the architecture to the handmade ceramics, reflects the spirit of Irish design and the honesty of place.
This is Ireland at its edge: wild, creative and alive with culture. Come curious, hungry, ready to feel the rhythm of Donegal.
