Lars Fredriksson was no stranger to innovative skincare when he developed Verso, a brand that was launched in 2013.
He was the man behind other specialized dermatology brands Restylane Skincare and Swedish Skincare System, but after reading up about Retinol 8 – a high-dose, stabilized Vitamin A derivative – he decided to change the game.
Aiming for a simplified approach to skincare, Fredriksson, whose professional background lies in finance and marketing, wanted to create a brand that reflects the ideals of Scandinavian beauty.
Verso, the brainchild that sprouted from those ideas, fulfills both a dermatologic need and an aesthetic inclination: it’s an honest and high-quality cosmeceutical product presented in timeless and minimal packaging, conceived by design agency Today Creative.
Retinol 8 is eight times more potent, less irritating and less UV-sensitive compared to standard retinol, which means a lower concentration of Vitamin A can be employed. As a result, Verso products can be used by people with skin that’s sensitive to Retinol, and – perhaps most importantly – it can be used during the daytime hours.
Verso’s anti-ageing regimen consists of varying products for the face – cleaning, moisturizing, boosting masks, oils and creams – and targeted products for the eye area, lips and hands. Minimising skin exposure to unnecessary ingredients, Verso’s products are high quality and add easily to everyday life.
Developed under the supervision of doctors from Stockholm’s Karolinska University Hospital, scientific research lies at the very basis of Verso’s range.
Verso’s love for simplicity in both use and form is also reflected in the partners the Swedish company chooses to work with.
